At the initial stage, four models of the budget British-Chinese brand enter the domestic market – these are the 4.6-meter C-class sedan MG5, the subcompact 4.3-meter crossover MG ZS, the mid-size 4.6-meter crossover MG HS, as well as the electric crossover MG ZS EV. There is already a price list for each car except for the four-door MG5.
So, MG ZS goes on sale at a price from 446,831 to 615,107 UAH. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter 120-horsepower engine, a manual transmission, a CVT, or a classic automatic transmission to choose from. The equipment list includes multimedia, many electronic safety systems. MG ZS is interesting primarily because it is one of the cheapest crossovers with an automatic transmission. The version with a CVT is estimated at just over $18,300. Drive in all cases is front-wheel.
The cost of MG HS ranges from 549,349 – 769,234 UAH. It is not only larger than the ZS, but also more powerful. Here, a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 169 hp or a 2.0-liter unit producing 228 hp is responsible for movement. The gearbox is a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed preselective, or a 7-speed robot with two clutches. The base includes multimedia with a rear-view camera, electric adjustments and heated seats, and a panoramic roof.
In turn, MG ZS EV is available only in one non-alternative version for 920,073 UAH. The car is equipped with a 140-horsepower electric motor (acceleration to 100 km/h – 8.5 seconds) and a battery with a capacity of 44.5 kWh (range – 263 km according to the WLTP cycle). The equipment includes a leather interior, electric drive and heated seats, multimedia with a surround-view camera, a set of electronic assistants (adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping and sign recognition).
Over time, another MG electric crossover – MG Marvel R – will arrive in Ukraine.
