The presidential press service reported a sensational piece of news today, April 1. The car model has already been chosen – it will be a new Skoda Octavia assembled at the Transcarpathian enterprise "Eurocar".
However, it won't be a regular liftback, but a lengthened Skoda Octavia Pro. This version is sold on the Chinese market, but specifically for Volodymyr Zelensky, three Octavia Pro cars will be assembled at the Ukrainian plant.
The new Skoda Octavia Pro is 78 mm longer than the standard model (4753 mm), and its wheelbase is increased by 44 mm. The presidential car, naturally, will get a more expensive interior trim – like in the top-end Octavia Laurin & Klement.
Naturally, Volodymyr Zelensky's car will be armored, which will add weight. To cope with the increased load, a 2.0-liter 245-horsepower turbo engine from the hot Skoda Octavia RS will be installed.
