We were told in detail about the new Peugeot 508 and other new products of the PSA concern at today's press conference of the company "Peugeot Citroen Ukraine".
In 2017, the PSA Group managed to strengthen its position in the Ukrainian market, increasing sales by 47% and selling more than 4 thousand cars. According to forecasts for 2018, the Ukrainian car market will grow by 20% and reach 105,000 new cars. PSA's goal for 2018 is to take a total share of 6.2%.
The first to enter our market in 2018 were the compact cars Citroen C1 (from UAH 320 thousand) and Peugeot 108 (from UAH 358 thousand). The little ones can boast an "optimistic" design with many personalization options, efficiency, as well as a wide list of options, including a rear-view camera, automatic braking function and lane departure warning system.
Sales of the seven-seat crossover Peugeot 5008 (from UAH 1,118,700) also started in Ukraine, which is essentially an enlarged version of the Peugeot 3008, differing mainly in the third row of seats. In summer, the line of modifications will be replenished with a top version with a 180-horsepower 2.0 BlueHDi diesel engine paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, the new compact crossover Citroen C3 Aircross (from UAH 460 thousand) is already available to order. The model offers one of the most spacious interiors in its class, a large trunk (410 l), as well as useful driver assistance systems: sign recognition, parking assistance, automatic high beam switching, etc. In addition to 1.2 PureTech petrol engines, the C3 Aircross is available with a combination of a diesel engine and a manual gearbox, which is rare in its segment.
In May, sales of the updated Citroen C4 Cactus will start on the Ukrainian market, which has lost its crossover status and is preparing to replace the current generation of the C4 hatchback in the model line, which is retiring. The main feature of the modernized Cactus is the new Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, as well as special seats of increased comfort.
The Peugeot 208 hatchback will finally get a full-fledged six-speed automatic transmission and a 110-horsepower turbo engine, while the 2008 crossover, in turn, will receive a new basic version with a 1.2 engine with 82 hp. and a manual transmission. Both models will also get GT-Line sport packages.
The line of versions of the Citroen C3 hatchback will also expand, which will flaunt a special Elle version offering an exclusive two-tone body color, stylish interior trim, as well as a richer equipment.
At the end of the year, a new generation of Citroen Berlingo and its brother Peugeot Partner, which is now called Rifter, will arrive on our market. Around the same time, the second generation of the Peugeot 508 mentioned above will also reach Ukraine.
