Let us remind you that back at the meeting on April 16, the Kyiv City Council created a commission to inspect gas stations in Kyiv. And on June 9, after the fire at the BRSM oil depot, the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko announced inspections of oil depots and filling stations in the capital. The subject of the inspection is compliance with fire safety.

In addition, the Kyiv City State Administration began dismantling illegal gas filling stations in the city. As reported by Kyiv City Council deputy Vitaliy Danylenko, a decision was made to dismantle 14 gas filling stations that are especially dangerous for the population. The first of them were dismantled already on June 13. For example, two gas filling stations, Evrogaz and LP-GAZ, were removed on Saperno-Slobodskaya Street.
According to Danylenko: “The owners of both filling stations illegally seized city land, placed gas modules under power lines, within red lines, violating the protective zones of underground utilities, etc.”
On June 9, after the fire at the BRSM oil depot, in his speech the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko stated that no oil depot, no gas station in Kyiv would escape inspections. They will check compliance with fire safety rules.
