Such an initiative was proposed by deputy Yaroslav Dubnevych at a meeting of the committee on customs and tax policy. The goal is to allow the import and use of cars in Ukraine without paying customs duties for up to 30 days.

The parliamentarian believes that under current conditions, citizens cannot afford new cars, so buying a car from Europe without further customs clearance is one way to allow people to drive personal vehicles.
Currently, it is possible to use an unregistered car in Ukraine for 5 days, after which it is necessary to cross the border again and re-enter.
