A column of SAXON armored vehicles was involved in a traffic accident, resulting in one serviceman sustaining injuries incompatible with life.
The incident occurred on the 73rd kilometer of the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway. A column of eight armored vehicles was heading towards Kharkiv. One of the armored vehicles ended up in a ditch, another crashed into a crash barrier.
The circumstances of the incident are being established, and an investigation is underway.
As previously reported, the first batch of British Saxon AT-105 armored personnel carriers arrived in Ukraine in February.
