According to the Ukrautoprom association, only 8 cars came off the production lines of the Zaporizhzhia automobile plant in July. This figure likely indicates that the enterprise is practically on the verge of a halt. In addition, information is spreading that ZAZ plans to reduce staff, and employees have already been notified of this through an official order.
Official comments from the company's management are currently absent. However, it should be taken into account that the plant regularly suspends conveyor operations as planned, usually twice a year. Therefore, it is quite possible that such a small volume of output is explained precisely by this factor, rather than by the economic or political situation in the country.

At the same time, it is worth acknowledging that other domestic automakers are also going through hard times. This refers to the Bohdan plants, enterprises of the Etalon corporation (including BAZ and CHAZ), as well as KrASZ and Eurocar. Collectively, these companies produced 555 cars of various classes and types in July, which is 89% less than in July 2013.
