However, enthusiasts from the YouTube channel Rich Rebuilds hold the opposite approach: in particular, they previously decided to create the world's first Tesla with a V8 engine. And recently they showed the first launch of such a car on video.

The donor electric car was a Tesla Model S. It was completely disassembled, the original powertrain and battery were removed, and then they proceeded to install a 6.2-liter V8 with 426 hp from a scrapped Chevrolet Camaro.

Once the gasoline unit was installed, the inventive team went further – they created a special fuel system made from parts borrowed from a Mazda MX-5 Miata and a Chevrolet Corvette. In addition, a fuel tank and oil filter were prepared for the car. Without this, even a test launch of the car would not have been possible.

After refueling, the craftsmen turned on the ignition – the engine started working! True, soon fuel leaked from the system, resulting in a small fire in the engine compartment.

Currently, the project is in an active phase, and work on it will continue further. In particular, now the enthusiasts face the task of developing a suitable driveshaft.
