To be fair, it is worth noting that in reality the car is painted black (Deep Black Pearl), and in this case a vinyl film was applied. However, the work was done, as they say, as correctly as possible: the film even covered the door openings and visible body parts in the cabin, so there is no trace of the original color left.

At the same time, the change was not limited to just one "paint job": the special Jetta also received Air Design side skirts, a rear trunk spoiler, and a front lower spoiler Fifteen52 Critical Aero Design (CAD). In addition, the car was slightly lowered (by installing a new H&R Springs Street Performance suspension), and instead of the standard wheels, new 20-inch wheels with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 235 / 35Z R20XL 90Y tires were installed.

Inside the sedan, front Recaro sports seats upholstered in leather, as well as a golf ball-shaped gear shift knob, were installed. But in terms of mechanics, this is a standard Jetta GLI, which is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 231 horsepower and a 6-speed manual/7-speed automatic (in the case of the Volkswagen Jetta Blue Lagoon GLI, a manual transmission was used).

By the way, the unusual Jetta is made in a single copy. Its status is a concept car. However, the public will still get acquainted with the car: the sedan will travel to various events in the USA organized by Volkswagen and fans of the German brand.
By the way, the Germans did not release the Jetta Blue Lagoon GLI just for nothing – it is a tribute to the Mk4 Blue Lagoon GLI sports sedan, a special version of the fourth-generation Jetta GLI, which was painted in the same color and produced in a run of 1.5 thousand copies.
