ABT tuners have refined the four-liter twin-turbo V8: thanks to a modified engine control unit firmware, the power has increased from 422 hp and 900 Nm to 500 hp and 970 Nm. The acceleration figures of the SUV are not specified, but it is likely that it has become faster than the factory version, which reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
In addition, for the Volkswagen Touareg from ABT, a suspension upgrade is available — the ground clearance is reduced by 38 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear, and 22-inch wheels are also installed.
In the interior, the dashboard and steering wheel can be upholstered in Alcantara. Seats with contrast stitching, carbon fiber inserts, and additional LED interior lighting are also offered.
