According to Millen, this powertrain seems specifically designed for this car. The public unveiling of this "iron monster" took place today in Las Vegas at the SEMA 2011 show.

"As soon as I saw the Tau V8 on the Genesis R-Spec and Equus, it immediately became clear to me — its place is under the hood of the Genesis Coupe," noted Millen, who heads Rhys Millen Racing.

In addition to the powerful engine, the coupe received a titanium exhaust system, an additional oil cooler, and a rear differential cooler, which provide an increase of twenty horsepower. The RM500 package also includes a carbon fiber body kit, 19-inch cast alloy wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo.
