Last Saturday, October 29, members of the Rexton club celebrated Driver's Day. The event was held with the support of the company "AIS Avtodom Stolytsia". The program included off-road entertainment, as well as fundraising for the Nizhyn orphanage, which the club has long been supporting.
The company "AIS" traditionally supports Rexton club events, and this celebration was no exception. In the morning, SsangYong SUV owners began gathering at the service station of the auto center on Zoologichna Street, 5A. The director of the auto center, Yuriy Krasnozhon, congratulated those present on the holiday, after which guests were given souvenirs and gifts.
Then the participants headed out of town. On a prepared track in the Brovary area, they tested their vehicles for strength and endurance. Deep sandy ruts were not an obstacle for the body-on-frame SUVs, which once again confirmed their ability to handle any off-road conditions. In addition, everyone interested could try out the Korando and Actyon models provided by "AIS" for test drives. There was no shortage of emotions and adrenaline.
The participants also did not forget about their charges — children from the Nizhyn orphanage, whom the club has been helping for over two years. Children with central nervous system disorders live there. Once every two months, activists buy food and necessary items for them. This year, the situation has become more complicated due to a significant reduction in state funding, which is not even enough for food. At the meeting, it was decided to organize a collection of aid for the next trip, scheduled for November 15. In addition to money, food, and essential items, the participants agreed to arrange a visit for the children to the Kyiv circus. The SsangYong auto center also joined the campaign.
The celebration ended with a small concert prepared by the club members themselves. Live music, an informal atmosphere, and fresh air created an ambiance that will be remembered for a long time. Photos and reviews on the forum serve as confirmation.
