The main feature of this award is that the winner is determined not by experts, but by ordinary drivers. This year, over 225 thousand car owners from Britain cast their votes, and it was the EV3 that received the most positive feedback. Owners described it as the most balanced electric car in its class: a successful combination of modern style, latest technologies, ease of use, and acceptable cost ensured the model an undisputed victory.
For the sixth year in a row, the main prize in Great Britain goes to an electric vehicle. This trend only emphasizes: electric traction has ceased to be just a dream of environmentalists — it is the current reality of the automotive market. Buyers increasingly prefer cars without harmful emissions over petrol or diesel models, and they do so consciously, not under pressure.
Electric cars also confidently held their positions in this year's competition, winning in 10 out of 25 categories. In particular, the BMW i4 was recognized as the optimal choice for a family, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 as the best for city driving, and the Skoda Enyaq received the title of the most convenient car for dog owners. For long-distance travel, Britons chose the Renault Scenic E-Tech — this electric car can travel up to 620 km without recharging.
It is also worth noting that drivers from Britain favorably regarded cars from Chinese manufacturers. The Omoda 5 was praised for the most advantageous combination of price and quality, and BYD became the winner of the title of the most beloved brand of the year — no Chinese manufacturer had ever achieved such a feat before.
