The Ukrautoprom Association reported that last month domestic drivers purchased 6.8 thousand new passenger cars, and more than a third of them are representatives of the crossover and SUV segment. The greatest demand was traditionally for the Renault Duster, which was sold in the amount of 486 units. In second place was the electric crossover from China, the BYD Song Plus, which found 361 new owners. The third position was taken by the Toyota RAV4 with an indicator of 299 sold cars.

Interestingly, in the top ten leaders, four places were immediately occupied by electric vehicles, and almost all of them enter our market through unofficial channels from China. This situation indicates the growing interest of Ukrainians in electric models even in the SUV category.

The rating of the most sought-after cars of August 2025 looks as follows:

  • Renault Duster – 486 units.

  • BYD Song Plus – 361 units.

  • Toyota RAV4 – 299 units.

  • Hyundai Tucson – 251 units.

  • Volkswagen ID.Unyx – 206 units.

  • Honda e:NS1 – 202 units.

  • Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – 175 units.

  • BYD Sea Lion 07 – 155 units.

  • Toyota Yaris Cross – 148 units.

  • Volkswagen Touareg – 143 units.

Thus, the Ukrainian car market clearly shows a trend towards choosing practical and multifunctional crossovers, and at the same time, electric cars are gradually becoming serious players in this segment.
