The run involved three hydrogen crossover Nexo and two Genesis G80 sedans. The models are equipped with a full "driverless set" of radars, lidars and cameras, allowing to achieve the fourth level of autonomy, at which the car does not require any driver assistance at all.

The almost 200-kilometer route passed along roads with regular traffic, and the maximum speed of the unmanned Hyundai reached 110 km/h. The cars independently performed overtaking, lane changes, passed through toll points, etc.

The manufacturer also reported that production models with a similar level of autonomy will hit the market no earlier than 2021.
