Porsche has introduced a new type of wheel rims made using a special technology from 'woven' carbon fiber.
Carbon fiber wheels weigh a fifth less than standard cast counterparts, and surpass them in strength — this improves the acceleration dynamics and handling precision of sports cars.
Such carbon wheels will be available as optional equipment for the limited series Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series, which the company presented at the beginning of summer.
The cost of a set of four 20-inch high-tech wheels will be 15,232 euros.
