Volvo has presented the first self-driving XC90, which will be given to regular drivers for testing.
The crossover, controlled by an autopilot, with license plate 001, will be used in mass trials starting in 2017 as part of the Drive Me project. The testing will take place on the streets of Gothenburg.
The number of self-driving cars available for testing will be significantly increased. In the near future, the Swedish side intends to release thousands of driverless cars onto the roads of various cities, also attracting British and Chinese participants to the tests.
