They work quite simply - when parking, information from external cameras will be transmitted to the lenses of the glasses after special processing. Thanks to this, the car owner will be able to see through the car, as it were, and the rear and side parts of the vehicle will become transparent.
Whether the glasses can be used beyond parking has not yet been reported. But it is quite likely that such a function will be provided. They will be able to display information necessary while driving, for example, the speed of the car.
As confirmed by BMW, the new product will be presented at the exhibition in Shanghai in April 2015.
