Assembly will be established at the Orion Township plant in Michigan.

In October 2016, production should be established, and by 2017 the car will go on sale. The main competitors of the Chevrolet Bolt on the global market are the Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model III. Buyers in Europe will be able to purchase the new product under the Opel brand.

General Motors, which owns Chevrolet, plans to produce 25,000-30,000 units of the electric car per year. The Bolt is expected to cost around $30,000. The range on a full charge at positive temperatures can reach 322 kilometers.
In addition to the Bolt model, Chevrolet already produces the second generation of the hybrid Volt.

Its powertrain consists of a new 1.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. The car's batteries weigh less and have more power than those of its predecessor, which made it possible to increase the electric range from 60 to 100 kilometers.
