The principle of operation of this function is quite simple: the system constantly performs diagnostics of the car and sends the received information via the Internet to a "cloud storage". Data from all sensors in the car is additionally analyzed by the server and, based on the analysis, can identify potential malfunctions.
Already in 2016, the innovative program from GM engineers will go into "production" and will be able to monitor the condition of the battery, fuel pump, and starter. In 2017, the range of capabilities of the "predictor function" is expected to be expanded. The management of the American concern emphasized that this technology will become a new milestone in the history of car service maintenance.
