And here is a balm for the soul - information that Nanoflowcell has developed and even produced a prototype of an electric car with fuel cells that use salt water as fuel. True, as of today, this car, called the Quant e-Sportlimousine, has permission to be used only on the roads of Germany. For this, Nanoflowcell received special permission to conduct road tests.

The technical parameters of the Quant e-Sportlimousine are as follows: the car reaches the 100 km/h mark in 2.8 seconds. On a single refueling, it can travel up to 600 km.

But don't rejoice too soon. The salt water used as fuel is not exactly what you might have thought. You won't be able to fill the car with tap water and pour a few packs of table salt into it. In the car's special reactor, two types of solutions are prepared, each with its own components of salts of various metals. They act as an electrolyte. Then each solution is fed separately into the fuel cells. Thanks to the electrochemical reaction, electricity is generated. It then goes to a special capacitor with a large electrical capacity. The car's four electric motors are powered from it.

It is worth mentioning that the electrochemical fuel cells were created by Nanoflowcell engineers in collaboration with specialists from Bosch Engineering. Both companies hope that the technology will begin to be used in the near future.
