It is worth noting that this application is compatible exclusively with BMW and MINI cars manufactured no earlier than 2012. The car must be equipped with a multimedia system with the additional BMW Apps or MINI Connected package, and the GoPro camera must support Wi-Fi technology.
The program provides a connection between the onboard system and the camera, displaying the image on the screen located on the front panel. Video recording control — start, stop, and parameter adjustment — is carried out directly through the car's interface. The screen also shows information about the battery charge level and the status of the wireless connection.
Let us add that earlier, a mobile solution M Laptimer was already presented for BMW owners, designed to analyze driving style on race tracks. The only drawback is that this free application is currently available only to iPhone owners.
