This car is China's decisive response to the dominance of European flagship models like the Bentley Mulsanne or Rolls-Royce Phantom. Moreover, among Chinese entrepreneurs there are already patriots ready to pay 4.9 million yuan (about 800 thousand US dollars) for the car.

At the exhibition, the new model can be examined for the first time not only from the outside, but also from the inside. And the interior is truly impressive. The steering wheel is adorned with an emblem in the form of a golden sunflower, and the trim uses high-quality leather, finely crafted wood, and aluminum. With this level of execution, it is not shameful to appear at official receptions, representing a great power.

To ensure this magnificent Hongqi L5 feels confident on the road, under the hood is a V12 engine with 408 horsepower and a torque of 550 Nm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
A limousine, as is known, must be spacious, and the L5 fully meets this requirement: length — 5555 mm, width — 2018 mm, height — 1578 mm. A wheelbase of 3435 mm allows the “Red Flag” to maintain comfort on any surface.

A brief note: the government version of the Hongqi L5 was created for representative purposes, in particular, for the visit of the French president in April 2013. The L5 is the third model in the line of “Red Flag” representative cars. Previously, the large Hongqi L9 and the more modest Hongqi L7 were produced.
It remains only to regret that the manufacturers have no plans for export. Therefore, in our country we will not see this masterpiece of the Chinese automotive industry. However, we would hardly see it even if the price were 80, not 800 thousand dollars. Mentality...
