“Innovative technologies and comfort in a modern interpretation have always been an important part of the BMW brand,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of Design at BMW Group. “We create visual concepts — such as the BMW Vision Future Luxury — to show possible directions for the development of these factors in the future, as well as to gain a new source of inspiration and motivation. The BMW Vision Future Luxury, with its innovative technologies, meticulous precision, and quality in every detail, represents a new stage in our vision of modern luxury.”

The design of the BMW Vision Future Luxury embodies BMW's philosophy of modern luxury, the main components of which are modern technologies and a “layered” interior – wood and leather on top, aluminum below.

Wide-opening “carriage” doors, 5 screens, a removable tablet, and a separate projection screen that displays data on the windshield about road signs, obstacles, other hazardous conditions, and so on. Instead of a central information display shared by the driver and front passenger, the BMW Vision Future Luxury provides a separate display for the latter, connected to the driver's via a touch panel. This allows the driver and passenger to exchange information simply by swiping a finger across the panel.

At the front – laser headlights, at the rear – LED taillights.

And although this is still a concept, the Bavarians intend to transfer many details to a production model, which may become the new BMW 9 Series – the most luxurious model in the history of the German brand.
