The suspension of supplies is caused by a drop in demand, as a result of a significant increase in prices for products of the Volga Automobile Plant. An additional factor was that some VAZ models do not meet the European safety standards recently adopted in Ukraine.

In addition, according to Ukrainian dealers, recent personnel rotations in the management of AvtoVAZ also affected car exports. The company's new management prioritized stabilizing operations in the domestic Russian market, as a result of which the pricing and marketing policy regarding our market has not yet been formed.
Last year, 8,305 VAZs were sold in Ukraine, which is half as many as in 2012. In total, in 2013, AvtoVAZ exported 78.6 thousand cars.
Recall that Autoportal previously wrote that the Marussia and Yo-mobile projects are being closed in Russia.
