The BMW X2 will most likely be based on the platform of the front-wheel-drive 2-Series Active Tourer hatchback presented in Geneva. Previously, the Bavarians mentioned the release of a front-wheel-drive version of the crossover, but now they only talk about all-wheel-drive versions.

The Bavarians' compact crossover is being developed in two body types: five-door and three-door. The range of power units includes three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel turbo engines with a displacement of up to 2.0 liters.

As for the MINI Countryman, this SUV will be refined in the spirit of a true conqueror of off-road, following the example of its Dakar prototype. Success in the Dakar rally has significantly boosted interest in this model.
