Let us remind you that the new generation Twingo was developed jointly with Daimler Corporation and was presented in early March at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Smart Forfour will also be based on the same platform, with its presentation to take place later.
The new model fully meets the expectations of a modern city car and offers: a 4-seat cabin, a large number of additional options, and many unconventional technical solutions. In order to make its budget car as cheap as possible, Dacia intends to simplify the base trim to the maximum.
Nevertheless, all safety-related options required in Europe will be retained. The base trim should include ABS, stability control, and airbags for the driver and front passenger.
The main powertrain for this model will be a three-cylinder 70-horsepower naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 1 liter, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
