Mazda promises to unveil the new model this summer, alongside the new Mazda 2. Sales of the crossover are scheduled to start in 2014, and the first Mazda CX-3 units will be available to residents of Japan.

The compact crossover from Mazda will get a 1.3-liter gasoline engine and a 1.6-liter diesel. No information is yet available on trim levels or the availability of all-wheel drive, but the manufacturer promises options for every taste and budget.
As we mentioned above, the cost of the "budget" versions of the CX-3 should not exceed the $20,000 mark.
