Since UzDaewooAuto remains the sole manufacturer of this model, the modernization was carried out by the plant's own engineers. The Nexia received new bumpers, headlights, radiator grille, and trunk lid; the ergonomics of the interior space also noticeably improved. However, the key update was the engine from the Chevrolet Lacetti with 108 horsepower, which added agility to the car. At the Asaka plant, this unit is currently being refined to meet Euro-4 standards, which will allow the Nexia to continue being produced with this engine after 2010.

On the Ukrainian market, the updated Daewoo Nexia, designated N-150, will appear with the same list of trim levels and without price changes.
