Volkswagen has unveiled the electric ID Tiguan, which will replace the ID.4 and ID.5 in the model lineup. The crossover gets the MEB+ platform, three powertrain versions and two battery options. The maximum range under the WLTP cycle reaches 600 km. This is reported by Carscoops.
Volkswagen ID Tiguan gets three powertrains

The base rear-wheel-drive Volkswagen ID Tiguan is equipped with a 58 kWh battery and an electric motor producing 187 hp. The next version has rear-wheel drive, a 77 kWh battery and develops 282 hp.
At the top of the range is the all-wheel-drive Volkswagen ID Tiguan 4MOTION. It also uses a 77 kWh battery, and the combined output of the powertrain is 295 hp.
Volkswagen claims a maximum range of up to 600 km under the WLTP cycle, but does not yet specify which variant. The version with the 58 kWh battery can tow a trailer weighing up to 1800 kg, while models with the 77 kWh battery can tow up to 2000 kg.
The electric Volkswagen ID Tiguan brings back physical buttons

The Volkswagen ID Tiguan gets an LED light bar at the front, illuminated emblems and new lighting. Inside, there is an enlarged digital instrument panel with a retro mode, a new multimedia system and an available separate display for the passenger.
Physical buttons are once again used on the steering wheel. Another nine keys under the central vents control the climate system. There is also a volume control and two wireless smartphone chargers.

Among the options are front seats with heating, ventilation and massage, a Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic roof and Digital Key.
European pre-sales of the Volkswagen ID Tiguan start on October 13. The starting price is $47,900, and the first deliveries are planned for early 2027.
