The exterior of the new model combines traditional features with modern solutions: straight body lines, a raised hood, large bumpers, and expressive wheel arches. The recognizable Jeep radiator grille is organically complemented by large headlights, and some details visually echo the current Compass 2026. The car is based on the Stellantis STLA Large architecture, used in the electric Wagoneer S and Recon. This made it possible to increase the crossover's dimensions: length reaches 4778 mm, width — 2123 mm, height — 1715 mm, and wheelbase — 2870 mm.

The interior of the Jeep Cherokee 2026 has become more modern: the virtual instrument panel and 12.3-inch UConnect5 multimedia touchscreen are complemented by an unusual steering wheel and a round transmission selector instead of the traditional lever. Some physical buttons in the cabin have given way to touch surfaces. The cargo area has grown by 30% — its volume ranges from 952 to 1934 liters.

The base trim is priced at $36,995, but at the start of sales, dealers will only have richer trims: Limited for $42,495 and Overland for $45,995. They include a panoramic roof, a surround-view camera system, an upgraded audio system, power-adjustable seats and power tailgate, as well as ventilation and heating for all seats.

A key feature of the Cherokee 2026 is the hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors. Together they produce 213 hp and 312 Nm of torque. Average fuel consumption is claimed at 6.3 l/100 km, and on a single tank you can travel up to 800 km. The car can tow a trailer weighing up to 1.5 tons. The continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive with modes for sand, mud, and snow emphasize off-road capabilities: ground clearance is 203 mm, approach angle — 19.6°, departure angle — 29.4°. Later, a more off-road-oriented Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk modification is expected.
