Lucid Air is one of the most anticipated new models of recent years. It was shown back in 2016, but only now has assembly been organized. Production, by the way, has been set up at Lucid Motors' own plant (an unusual luxury for startup companies) in Arizona.

Lucid Air attracted the public's attention primarily due to its characteristics. In the top trim, the car develops 1126 hp and offers a range of 725-758 km (depending on wheel size). At the same time, a "long-range" version is also announced, with a range of 774-837 km according to strict EPA certification (however, the power output of the powertrain is slightly less – 950 hp). For comparison, the "maximum" Tesla Model S in the Plaid modification has an output of 1020 hp and a range of "only" 627 km on a single charge.

Of course, Lucid Air also has simpler versions (with power from 487 hp and a range from 653 km). Prices for the electric car start at 80 thousand and go up to 169 thousand dollars. For comparison, the cheapest Tesla Model S currently costs almost 91 thousand dollars. And the same Plaid is estimated at almost 140 thousand.

Another feature of Lucid Air is the huge 32-inch screen in the cabin. It serves as a digital instrument panel and touchscreen for the media system.

In 2023, Lucid promises to bring its second model to the market – an electric crossover, which in factory documentation goes by the name Project Gravity.
