And this is not an empty statement, because during testing the Chinese electric car has already confirmed its capabilities. True, without recharging it traveled only 904 km, but it should be taken into account that the test was conducted in very hot weather – at 36 degrees and with the air conditioning on. In more favorable conditions, the record 1000 km is quite realistic.
To achieve such indicators, the GAC Aion LX received a new battery with a capacity of 150 kWh. For comparison: in more affordable versions, batteries of 70 and 93 kWh are provided, and the range is 503 and 650 km, respectively (according to the NEDC cycle).
The all-wheel drive GAC Aion LX is equipped with two motors with a total power of 408 hp and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The crossover reaches 4786 mm in length and 1935 mm in width with a wheelbase of 2920 mm.
The top long-range version of the GAC Aion LX will cost about 45 thousand dollars. The Chinese electric car is quite richly equipped – it has a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, leather interior, power seats, panoramic roof, surround-view cameras and a semi-autonomous driving system.
