The video, shot by the author of the Sinister Coyote 5.0 channel, was published on YouTube.
The footage shows that the author is clearly impressed by the dimensions of the Hummer EV — in urban conditions, the car looks especially imposing. However, its large size became apparent even at the presentation, when the main parameters were announced. The length of the electric pickup reaches 5,507 mm, and the width is 2,201 mm. In standard mode, the ground clearance is 257 mm, but when off-roading, it increases to 302 mm.
An interesting detail in the video: the driver, noticing the filming, immediately stepped on the gas. Given that the GMC Hummer EV is not yet on sale, it is obvious that this is the top-end Edition 1 trim, which hits 60 mph in 3 seconds. Such a pickup is equipped with three electric motors with a total output of 1,000 hp and a traction force of 15,592 Nm. The energy reserve is enough for 563 km of travel. Behind the wheel, most likely, was a test pilot from General Motors.
Sales of the new model will start with the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 version — this will happen in early 2023. Such a pickup is priced at $112,595 in the US. A little later, closer to autumn, cheaper modifications will become available — the Hummer EV 3X for $99,995 and the Hummer EV 2X for $89,995. And in spring 2024, the base version will appear, starting at $79,995.

Along with this publication, GMC released a video demonstrating the acceleration of the 1,000-horsepower Hummer in a straight line. The car used a special Watts to Freedom mode, which, among other things, lowers the body by 55 mm before the launch to reduce the center of gravity.
The company noted that Watts to Freedom uses the full potential of the system and transfers all available traction to the wheels.
