Gas cylinder equipment began to be installed on Nissans from 2020 model year. The program covers four models – the NP300 (Navara) pickup, March (Micra) hatchback, Urvan van, and V-Drive (Sentra) sedan.

Gas is installed on Nissan cars in Mexico on the same principle as on new Renault cars in Ukraine: the equipment is mounted not at the factory itself, but by a local contractor, in this case the company Gazo. After installing LPG equipment, the factory warranty is preserved, and the LPG system itself is provided with a warranty of 3 years or 60 thousand km of mileage – whichever comes first.
Driving on gas in Mexico is as profitable as in Ukraine: compared to regular fuel, it is about 50%, compared to "premium" gasoline – by 55%. The Mexican division of Nissan calculated that depending on the operating mode of the vehicles and mileage, the installation of
LPG equipment pays off in 6-7 months.

Installation takes no more than 3 days. Currently, there are 25 certified service stations in Mexico where LPG equipment is installed on new Nissans, but their number will increase significantly in the near future.
It is possible that over time, the program for installing "factory" LPG equipment on new Nissan cars will also appear in Ukraine.
