With the change of generations, the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe retained the CLAR platform but became larger – in particular, the length of the car increased by almost 15 cm, and the wheelbase by nearly 5 cm. As a result, the free space in the cabin increased, and the trunk volume also grew (up to 470 liters).

The interior of the new four-door coupe is made in the spirit of other fuel-powered cars of the brand (the electric I-family, by the way, has a different design). The instrument panel is a 12.3-inch digital one, to the left of it there is a 10.25-inch multimedia screen, which together with the central insert is slightly turned towards the driver.

The new model is equipped with a large set of safety systems and driver assistance: there is the Active Guard Plus complex (which includes a speed limit assistant, lane departure warning system, collision and pedestrian warnings, automatic braking function), active cruise control with Stop & Go function, parking assistant and head-up display.

A wide range of engines is announced for the model, from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 245 hp to a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 374 hp and (500 Nm) with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. On some markets, diesel versions will also be available. All units work in conjunction with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, base versions are rear-wheel drive, older ones – with all-wheel drive xDrive.
With the top-end six-cylinder, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
The Bavarians especially emphasize that with the change of generations, the 4-Series Gran Coupe has become better to drive. This was achieved due to the ideal weight distribution along the axes in a 50:50 ratio, as well as a lower center of gravity.
Price of BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe 2022
Sales of the new four-door coupe will begin in November; in Germany, the price of the 4-Series Gran Coupe starts from 45,800 euros. The diesel version will cost at least 48,300 euros, and the top-end petrol (M440i xDrive, with a 3.0-liter engine) – from 67,200 euros.
