The new Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid has received a powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with 185 horsepower and a pair of electric motors: a front one with 182 hp and a rear one with 54 hp. In total, the hybrid system produces 306 horsepower.

The plug-in hybrid RAV4 can accelerate to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 180 km/h. In the combined cycle, the car consumes only 1.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

The battery with a capacity of 18.1 kWh allows driving up to 75 kilometers purely on electricity, according to the WLTP cycle. Recharging takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. However, the placement of the battery has led to a reduction in cargo volume to 490 liters.

Being the flagship version of the model, the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid boasts generous equipment. The list includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a full set of electric options, a rear-view camera, and an interior with combined leather upholstery.

The standard equipment also includes the Toyota Safety Sense safety suite. The system includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane tracing, and road sign recognition.
