According to preliminary data, the base modification of the Ford Maverick pickup truck on the American market will be priced at approximately 20 thousand dollars, which will make it the most budget-friendly truck in the USA. However, during promotional shooting, photographers managed to capture a more equipped version, which stood out with alloy wheels and wheel arches painted to match the body color.
Unlike traditional American pickups, the 2021 Ford Maverick will not have a frame. Its design implies a unibody construction, and the technical base is borrowed from the Ford Kuga and Bronco Sport crossovers. At the same time, the truck turns out to be larger than its "donors" — its length clearly approaches five meters.
Under the hood of the new Ford Maverick, gasoline turbocharged engines with a displacement of 1.5 liters (180 horsepower) and 2.0 liters (250 horsepower) are expected. In addition, the appearance of a hybrid modification is not ruled out. Most likely, the pickup will be offered with both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive.
