The car will be produced at a plant in India, where assembly of the three-door Jimny recently started. By the way, the Indian enterprise works not only for the local market, but also for export. So there are high chances of the five-door version appearing in other countries as well.

According to preliminary data, the length of the five-door Suzuki Jimny will increase by 350 mm (to 3995 mm), and the wheelbase will be increased by 250 mm – to 2500 mm. Let us remind you that in India, cars up to 4 meters long are subject to a preferential transport tax.

Of course, the increased dimensions will allow more space in the second row and trunk. In the three-door Suzuki Jimny, it is a bit cramped in the back.

The new Suzuki Jimny in the extended version will be equipped with the same 1.5-liter petrol engine with 102 hp. A 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission will be offered. Naturally, all-wheel drive with a low-range gear will be retained.
