Zoox is a compact (3.63 m) four-seat minivan with sliding doors. It can reach 120 km/h, and two batteries with a total capacity of 133 kWh allow it to operate continuously for 16 hours.

The self-driving car features rotating laser sensors and wide-angle cameras with a 270-degree field of view. The artificial intelligence can recognize other cars, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Another interesting detail of the Zoox is its innovative airbags. They are very large and, in the event of an accident, form a cocoon around the passengers.
Currently, pre-production Amazon Zoox vehicles are being assembled. However, the plant in Fremont (California) is already preparing to produce 10-15 thousand such taxis annually.
