The Mach 1 will occupy a niche between the "civilian" Mustangs and the most "charged" Shelby versions. This model is externally distinguished by an aerodynamic body kit, narrow slots on the hood, and special 19-inch wheels. In addition, special body colors are available for the Mach.

Under the hood of the Mustang Mach 1 is a five-liter V8 producing 487 hp and 569 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual Tremec 3160, but a 10-speed automatic can be ordered as an option.

The first Mach 1 debuted in 1968 and was named after the speed of sound threshold. The last example of the Mach was produced in the early 2000s.
Sales of the new Ford Mustang Mach 1 will start only next spring, so fans of this model will have to be patient.
