The only teaser frame does not show details of the exterior, allowing only the silhouette of the car to be seen. It is assumed that the new BT-50 will stop using the Ford Ranger platform and will be built on the basis of the Isuzu D-Max pickup, assembled in Thailand. At the same time, the body design of the Mazda will be completely different.
Under the hood of the pickup, a three-liter Isuzu turbodiesel with 190 hp and a torque of 450 Nm will be installed. The engine will work in conjunction with a six-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.
The Japanese automaker has not yet published official technical characteristics.
