The design of the new BMW 4 Series is distinguished primarily by the huge "nostrils" of the radiator grille, as well as vertical slots of the Air Curtains aero elements on the sides of the front bumper. For the first time for the model, laser-phosphor optics Laserlight became available.

Also, the coupe differs from the sedan in a stiffer body, a rear track widened by 23 mm, and a lowered center of gravity. To shed extra kilograms, the hood and outer door panels were made of aluminum, and the trunk lid was made of a composite based on natural fibers. The drag coefficient is now 0.25. The new generation of the "four" is larger than its predecessor: length - 4768 mm (+130), width - 1852 (+27), height 1383 (+6), and the wheelbase is 2851 mm (+41).

In the interior, one can highlight the modified control unit for three-zone climate control, original seats, and decorative lighting based on fiber optics. The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and 10-inch media system screen with BMW OS 7.0 are offered as an option.

The BMW 4 Series engine lineup includes three petrol and three diesel engines. Petrol turbo engines produce from 184 to 374 hp, and diesels - from 190 to 340 hp. The gearbox is an 8-speed Steptronic automatic. As an option, the Steptronic Sport transmission with launch control and the Sprint function is available, which is activated by holding the left paddle shifter, after which Sport mode is engaged and the gearbox shifts to a lower gear.
Sales of the new generation BMW 4 Series coupe start this autumn.
