The Japanese publication Mag-X reports that the hybrid version of the LS 600h model will receive a V8 powertrain. Exact technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, but according to journalists, it is a four-liter engine with two turbines, which is currently being tested on the racing version of the LC coupe. The estimated power of such an engine is about 600 horsepower.
As for the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, it will appear in a new base trim, whose exact index is still unknown. It is likely to be a two-liter turbo engine with 240 hp, which is already used in the Lexus RX 200t crossover. The introduction of this version will reduce the starting price of the model and partially compensate for the departure of the GS sedan from the Lexus lineup.
