In the company, the car is called "Mega GT". According to Koenigsegg CEO Christian von Koenigsegg, it represents a completely new class of car — with hypercar characteristics and a spacious, comfortable interior. The car can carry up to four passengers, as well as their luggage.

The Koenigsegg Gemera's equipment includes an infotainment system with 11 speakers, Apple CarPlay and multiple displays, three-zone climate control, wireless internet, wireless charging stations for smartphones in the front and rear, cup holders and reading lights.

The Koenigsegg Gemera is equipped with a completely new hybrid powertrain, which includes a compact two-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with 600 hp, as well as three electric units that produce the remaining 1,100 horsepower. One of them is installed in the front wheels, and the other is on the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine. In total, the combined unit develops 1,700 hp and 3,500 newton-meters.

The car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, and reaches its top speed of 400 km/h in 20 seconds. On electric power alone, the hypercar can travel up to 50 km, and in hybrid mode the range reaches 1,000 kilometers.
