The new model will feature the signature "Tiger Nose" radiator grille with chrome edges and a more angular body. The crossover will be equipped with LED headlights with three sections, a new front bumper with integrated fog lights, spoilers, roof rails, and vertical taillights.

Inside, the next-generation Sorento will feature a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen multimedia display. The traditional gear selector will be replaced with a special rotary dial.
All technical specifications of the flagship Kia crossover are still kept under wraps. According to The Korean Car Blog, the new model will get a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. The engine lineup will also include turbocharged 2.0- and 2.5-liter four-cylinder units. It is possible that the top engine will be a 3.8-liter gasoline V6 producing 295 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque.

Additionally, customers will be offered a 2.2-liter diesel unit. The appearance of a 2.5-liter diesel engine is also not ruled out. The vehicle will be available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Furthermore, the Sorento will receive hybrid modifications. The powertrain will include a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. A hybrid version based on the 2.2-liter diesel engine is also expected.
The official premiere of the car will take place on March 3, 2020. European sales of the crossover are expected to start closer to the end of this year.
