Judging by the images, the Skoda Octavia RS will differ externally from the "younger" modifications of the model with a different front bumper with massive air intakes, a modified lower section of the radiator grille, the design of alloy wheels and a spoiler on the trunk lid, and two trapezoidal exhaust tips.

Earlier, the company confirmed that the Skoda Octavia RS will for the first time be available with a hybrid powertrain with the ability to recharge batteries from a household electrical outlet. According to preliminary data, it will include a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, a set of batteries, and a robotic gearbox with two clutches. In total, the units will produce 245 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The car will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in about seven seconds. The range exclusively on electric power will be about 50 kilometers.

It is expected that the new Skoda Octavia RS, as before, will have modifications with traditional gasoline and diesel powertrains. The fastest will be the lighter version with a TSI engine producing about 250 hp, which will be able to reach 100 km/h in less than 6.5 seconds.
