The visually updated Renault Megane can be recognized by its full LED Pure Vision headlights, available already in the base version, a new front bumper with "blades" in the side inserts, modified fenders, wheels of a new design, as well as a slightly adjusted pattern of the taillights. Inside, there are more changes: the climate control unit has been changed, the media system display (9.3 inches instead of seven) and, for the first time, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster has appeared.

The model's equipment also includes an improved set of Easy Drive driver assistance systems. It includes adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, and driver attention monitoring. In addition, the updated Megane is offered with a traffic jam and highway driving assistant that is active at speeds up to 160 kilometers per hour.

The engine lineup of the Renault Megane consists of petrol 1.0 TCe (120 hp) and 1.3 TCe (100, 115, 140, and 160 hp). The first two engines are paired only with a six-speed manual transmission, the 140-hp engine is offered with both a manual gearbox and a "robot" (automated manual). The 160-hp unit is combined only with a seven-speed EDC robotic transmission. In addition, the lineup includes a 1.5 BlueHDi diesel with 95 and 115 hp and the E-Tech hybrid powertrain.

The hybrid version is based on a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine, which is supplemented by two electric motors, a multi-mode transmission without a clutch, and a traction battery of 9.8 kilowatt-hours. The power output of the powertrain is 160 horsepower. On electric power alone, the Megane E-Tech can accelerate up to 135 kilometers per hour and travel 50 kilometers (WLTP).

Another innovation is the appearance of the R.S. Line version. It will replace the GT Line and will borrow even more style from the full R.S. versions. You can distinguish the "sportified" Megane by the Formula-1 wing insert in the bumper, dual exhaust, sport seats, interior trim, and aluminum pedal pads.

The same set of changes as for regular cars is planned for the 300-hp Mégane R.S. and Mégane R.S. Trophy. Sales of the updated Megane in Europe will begin in the summer.
