The car will be built on the MQB A0 IN platform. This same chassis is used by the new compact crossover from Skoda called Vision In. The premiere of this car will also take place at the motor show in New Delhi.
Judging by the video, the new Volkswagen crossover will resemble the T-Cross. However, the car will get a more aggressive design and high ground clearance. At the auto show, most likely, a concept of the future car will be shown. The production crossover will go on sale around 2021.
According to IndianAutosBlog, the engine range of the new product will include a 1.0-liter unit that will work in conjunction with a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic. The power of the unit will be about 115 horsepower. The appearance of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine is also expected. The crossover will not have all-wheel drive modifications.
