Under this name, from 1966 to 1996, the American company produced a large SUV that went through five generations. In the presented video, the car in camouflage film demonstrates its capabilities off-road.
The new SUV will be built on the platform of the current Ford Ranger pickup, which premiered last year at the Detroit auto show. The exterior of the model will be noticeably redesigned compared to the previous generation. It is expected that customers will be offered options with both two and four doors, as well as a modification with a removable roof and door panels.
Under the hood of the Bronco will be a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 270 horsepower and 420 N·m of torque. The engine will be paired with an automatic transmission or a seven-speed manual gearbox supplied by Getrag. Later, the manufacturer also plans to release a hybrid version of the SUV.
The official debut of the car is scheduled for spring 2020. Production will be set up at a plant in Michigan. The main rival of the new model will be the Jeep Wrangler.
